- Answer The 1-year limited manufacturer's warranty starts from the manufacturer date on the box your computer came in.

QuestionDidn't get an answer so I ask again: I tried to START using the laptop but it didn't work. Isn't it supposed to still have some battery left when I bought it? Isn't it supposed to work without the AC cord too until battery ends, then we use the cord???

- Answer There may not be a charge left in the battery left from factory charging. Plug the device in, let it charge for approximately 15 minutes, then leaving the device plugged in to continue charging, turn the device on.

QuestionThanks, BUT...where's the SERIAL NUMBER??? I tried to read the cord box, but the print is SO tiny that even with my good light, reading glasses, magnifying glass and a flashlight I couldn't read it. Somebody help me find it please?

- Answer The serial number of you specific model is both on the box label and on the bottom of the computer. It will be labelled S/N.

- Answer The USB-c port on this device is for connecting USB-c supported devices. There is no video signal through the USB-c port on this device as this device uses HDMI-Out for video out. This is a relatively new connector. Most devices connect via the standard USB port on the device. Windows Hello is a Biometric security system that uses either a IR camera for facial recognition or a fingerprint reader. This system is not compatible with Windows Hello. It uses a standard password for security, if you choose to use it.

- Answer That will depend on the printer's compatibility with Windows 10. We recommend you check with the printer manufacturer's web site for compatibility. You will need to install Windows 10 printer drivers on the computer.

- Answer No, this is a North American model. There is a limited manufacturer's warranty covering OEM issues that is valid in North America only.

QuestionI just bought this laptop, but it will not connect to my wireless network. All of my other devices are working fine. Support was not helpful at all and suggested I call my ISP (Verizon FIOS). Has anybody had this problem?

- Answer No. I do not have any issues with connecting to my wireless network. Your laptop may be damage. Check to see if you can return it for another one. Good luck.

- Answer There are two standard USB 3.0 ports, one USB-c port, one HDMI-Out port, one 3.5mm combo headphone/MIC jack. This system has a CD/DVD drive built in. As long as the cells within the battery are intact and a circuit can be completed with the device plugged, yes, even if the battery no longer holds a charge, you will still be able to leave the device plugged in and use the device plugged in.

- Answer Really that will depend on the requirements and compatibility of the game. We recommend you check with the game's software publisher's web site for their compatibility with Windows 10 Home 64-bit operating system and the minimum/recommended hardware requirements (Is a Graphics card required, the processor speed and the minimum required system RAM and the minimum available hard drive space) to run their program, then compare those requirements to this system's configuration.

QuestionI took the SD card out of my audio recorder. It will not insert in the card slot on the side of this laptop. Fits fine, then gets stuck. Is there some trick to this? The card should just slide in & click like on every other device with an SD card slot!

- Answer This model has a 4 in 1 D card reader built in that is compatible with SD, SDHC, SDXC, MMC format smart cards. Be sure the card you are inserting is compatible with this device. Second, be sure you are inserting the card the proper way into the reader slot.

- Answer Charmon, Unless you are in an organization that requires MS Word, Excel, etc., I recommend downloading LibreOffice. It is open source and will read and write the MS formats (docx, xlsx, etc.). I've been using it for about 5 years now and have always found a way to do what I needed to get done. Obviously, it doesn't cost anything to try it out. Doug

QuestionWho is this"Lenovo Product Expert" that continually talks about voiding the warranty? You do not VOID the warranty for a simple hard drive upgrade. Period.

- Answer You can, but you shouldn't have to. Just use the 25-digit Product Code on the corporate copy of Microsoft Office 365 your business gives you, to activate the software already on the device.
