A:Answer Yes, this is a full computer and can do pretty much anything any other Windows computer could do. It has a microUSB slot, so if you use the adapter to plug in a powered USB DVD drive (or just mount one over a home network) you can install pretty much anything that works with Windows 8.1. The only limitation would be if you are trying to use software that requires a very fast processor with a lot of memory, in which case it will be a bit slow on this tablet. That said, I have successfully run some Windows games like Fallout 3 and Half-Life 2 on this tablet (albeit at the lowest available resolution).
