    • Answer Yes It can. However, make sure no other appliances are plugged into the same circuit. Do a test: 1) Plug lamp into the outlet you want to use and turn on. 2) If known, turn off breaker associated with the outlet 3) See if anything else goes off. Example: fridge, lamps, fans, stereo, PC or another ac unit. Also, Some older homes used wall switches to control floor lamps. Move wall switches to make sure the outlet you want to use, stays on. A dedicated outlet is always best, but not always practical. If you are unsure, ask an electrician for help. See photo for what a dedicated outlet looks like.

  • QuestionHow much is to install a widow conditioner??

    • Answer Self install you can build and paint for less than $50 or you can buy a rack for $80 on Amazon that will support 200 pounds, over twice this units weight. Cord is about 6 feet long, most rooms and a socket within 6 feet of a window, do not use standard extension cords, 12 GA NOT 16 GA. I have one of each style and actually prefer the $80 removable rack.

  • QuestionMy window is 25 inches wide at the narrowest points and 26 inches wide at its widest point, is there a work around to install this unit since my window measurements don't meet the minimum width?

    • Answer Skip using their installation kit, it save a lot of room, most windows slide sideways these days anyway. Use the provided foam. You are going to want to cut a 1x2 shim to stop the window from being slid open anyway. Fill-in above with wood. Seal seems with the provided foam. This is how I do my older 1217 model.

  • QuestionI found the LG in 12,000 and 14,000 btu's, however the minimum window opening has to be 16"... Mine is only 15", but the height is 15", could I make it work???

    • Answer No, width can be adjusted not height, I would look at a smaller BTU unit for that window. The 10000 BTU, still quite a lot, LW1022IVSM is 13" inches tall. I would get it instead.
