The LG 34" WQHD 100Hz 5ms Smart Monitor with HDR10 (HDMI, USB-A) - Black, Model # 34SR60QC-B, has a native WQHD (3440x1440) resolution, and connectivity for the monitor includes two HDMI Version 2.0 inputs and two USB-A Downstream ports. The monitor supports Plug and Play, which is a feature that enables a PC to recognize devices attached by the user without device configuration or user intervention when powering on. The monitor also supports 3840 x 2160 @ 60Hz,1920 x 1080 @ 60Hz, and 1024 x 768 @ 60 Hz over HDMI, but those resolutions have a 16:9 Aspect Ratio, and since the monitor has a 21:9 Aspect Ratio, the 16:9 Aspect Ratio resolutions will be displayed with black bars on the screen...^Ivan.

  • QuestionMy LG My view smart monitor aspect ratio is locked and I cannot change the screen. The screen is 1440p and 21:9, but the apps are stuck on 1080p and 16:9. It will not let me adjust the resolution or the aspect ratio through the smart TV. Can it be fixed?

    • Answer It should allow you to change the resolution but you will get a warning saying it isn't recommended and you might not be able to fix it in the future. I would reach out to tech support and see if they could walk you through it step by step for what you're trying to do exactly.

    • Answer The LG 34-inch Smart Monitor WQHD 1440P Curved Screen 100Hz with webOS, Model # 34SR60QC-B, has a native WQHD (3440 x 1440) resolution, which is a 21:9 Aspect Ratio resolution (commonly referred to as UltraWide Quad HD (UWQHD) or 1440p UltraWide, offering a 21:9 aspect ratio). Both the Xbox One and Xbox Series consoles can output this resolution through compatible TVs and monitors. However, they do not natively support Ultrawide Aspect Ratios, which means you will see black bars on the sides of the display when using an Ultrawide monitor, like this monitor. When connecting to monitors or TVs that support a high aspect ratio like 21:9, your Xbox device might stretch the display content due to this fundamental incompatibility between wide-format resolutions and typical screen hardware configurations.
