A:AnswerHi Ricky. Only our Gas Dryers plug into a dedicated, properly grounded standard 3-prong 120V 60Hz outlet protected by a 15 or 20 amp time delay fuse or circuit breaker. The LG 4.2 cu.ft. Compact Electric Condensing Front Load Dryer, Model # DLEC888W, like our other Electric Dryers, has it own terminal block that must be connected to a separate 240 VAC, 60-Hertz, single-phase circuit, fused at 30 amperes (the circuit must be fused on both sides of the line). You can use a 30-amp, 240-volt, 3-wire or 4-wire, UL-listed power cord with #10 AWG-minimum copper conductor and closed loop or forked terminals with upturned ends. A 3-wire connection is NOT permitted on new construction after January 1, 1996. You would have to use a 4-wire connection for all mobile and manufactured home installations, as well as all new construction after January 1, 1996. Your wiring and grounding must conform to the latest edition of the National Electrical Code, ANSI/NFPA 70 and all applicable local regulations. You will need to check your local regulations or check with your local building inspector about what is allowed in your area...^IFV
