QuestionI just purchased a LDG4313 and the oven vent is reaching temperatures equivalent to the oven. After using the oven more than three months, will high heat continue to vent from anywhere on the top of the stove when the ovens are in use? Thank you.

- Answer The Upper and Lower ovens in the LG 6.9 Cu. Ft. Self-Cleaning Freestanding Double Oven Gas Range with ProBake Convection® and EasyClean® - Stainless Steel, Model # LDG4313ST vent through the vents just above the cooktop surface under the control panel for the oven in the rear of the oven. They provide the air inlet and outlet that are necessary for the range to operate properly with correct combustion. It is normal for them to get extremely hot during cooking and may cause burns. Avoid blocking the vents or placing plastics near the vent as heat may distort or melt the plastic. It is normal for steam to be visible when cooking foods with high moisture content...^IFV

- Answer Regrettably, there is no time listed for how quickly the LG 6.9 Cu. Ft. Self-Cleaning Freestanding Double Oven Gas Range with ProBake Convection® and EasyClean® - Stainless Steel, Model # LDG4313ST takes to preheat to 400°F. The average time it takes for most range ovens to heat to 350°F is about 15 minutes. If you're preheating to 450°, add another five minutes to the time, but that will vary depending on the external environmental temperature. The oven will preheat quicker in warmer weather than in cooler weather. The only way to figure out how long it takes your oven to preheat is by testing it with an oven thermometer...^IFV

Self-Cleaning Freestanding Double Oven Gas Range with ProBake Convection® and EasyClean® - Stainless Steel, Model # LDG4313ST, peel away as much of the plastic as you can. Use a sppon or a dull knife, such as a butter knife to gently scarpe away the plastic. Use caution not to scratch the surface. Spray WD-40 on the remaining platic and let it sit for a few minutes. Some other suffestions are to use baking soda and vinegar...^IFV
