  • QuestionIf I set it up to use side venting, can back clearance be less than 5''? I'm assuming such large clearance is for venting specifically?

    Asked by Seth.

    • Answer Hi, Seth. Thank you for reaching out to us. When setting up the LG Dryer model DLEX5500V for side venting, it is crucial to ensure proper clearance for effective ventilation. The recommended clearance of 5 inches at the back is primarily to accommodate the venting system and ensure safe and efficient operation. Reducing this clearance might impact performance and safety. For optimal results, it's best to follow the installation guidelines provided.
