QuestionI'm looking for a router that can cover the entire house. We are having connection problems using the AC 1750. I'm looking for a beast unit to handle all items. Arlo system tv's computers, phones etc. Lots of stuff. Have Gig speed internet. Thanks,

- Answer This will do the job for you. You can use st least 5 routers on a single SSID. Make sure you place them for the best connectivity with as few interferences as possible.

Questionhow can I find the actual physical size of this. No site seems to have all all the dimensions. I keep hearing this is huge, but no one says exactly how big. I am looking for width, length and height.

- Answer Mine would not. Llet me clarify, it is just ethernet so it sets up and configures just fine. It looked like all was good. For some reason, I couldn’t get above 300 mbps via ethernet (not wifi) with ny att gigabit fiber service. I then tested the google home router and Apple AE, both worked fine. I finally gave up on the linksys and returned it :(.

- Answer You may be disappointed with the USBs (one is 3.0 and one is 2.0) if you're using a Mac running an OS higher than 10.10, at least if you want to connect something like a printer to it. LinkSys requires downloading their USB Control Center to put a printer on the USB ports, and it requires a driver called SXUPTP, which is incompatible with the newer Mac OSs and thus doesn't download. This leaves you out of luck, at least for that use.

- Answer The router will support it. If you did the automatic setup, the router will set it on the band automatically. If you manually setup the different network bands, you will have to place it on the one you want to see other devices with. If you have different network names for the bands, you may not be able to see printers, TV's, etc....

- Answer I have ATT Gig internet which is fiber. I had to use passthrough mode on my ATT router and turn off DHCP and put my Linksys on a different IP range. I was able to get it working with the help of Google and YouTube

QuestionIt has two USB ports, is it easy to connect a printer to share? How about a HDD? Does it require that the HDD be formatted when connected? Because that is what my current E3200 requires.

- Answer Yes it was easy to connect printer and share and the HDD does not need format it reads my files off that were already on the HDD. Use the genie app its great.

- Answer The faster your internet speed the more you'll get out of this router but no minimum speed required. How ever if your internet is slower than 50mbps there are other significantly cheaper options.

QuestionIf my time warner modem is the modem/router combo, would I use the 9500 as a range extender and turn off the wifi to the current router? I also have a secure banking router connected to it as well, would I leave that connected to the original router?

- Answer I have an xfinity router that has a built in N router.So, what I did was I bridged the modem to my AC 5400 router. The modem has built in software to allow you to bypass your built in router and connect to your new router.You log in to your modem to do this. Your login url depends on your modem brand. Anyway, after doing this which takes only a few minutes, I enjoy speeds like I never did before. Don't waste this router as a range extender.

QuestionI am thinking of hooking this up to my Verizon/Frontier router with a 100 foot ethernet cable so I can set it up at a central location. Can this be done? Cat 5, 6, 7? Any difference? Thanks!
