Q: QuestionWhy won’t the Flip phone 2 answer by opening the flip? Why should you be required to enter “OK” in order to start talking? My mother can only use 1 hand and this two step process is a step back from original flip phones that answer upon opening the phone

• A:Answer I see Lively answered a question like yours claiming that the Jitterbug has the flip to answer option but the truth is the Jitterbug is not a flip to answer phone. I flowed Lively's instructions and I called Lively. Mine and my mother's is still a two step operation. I am looking for another phone.

• A:Answer Great Call told me there was a 30 return period if my mom didn't like the phone. I was concerned that she wouldn't hear it ring because her Verizon phone (Orbic) was not loud enough. The Lively phone is plenty loud - and you can make it vibrate to help get your attention.

• A:Answer Great question! To answer a call on the Jitterbug Flip2 phone you flip the phone open and press OK, or you can go to settings on the phone to enable the answering option and be able to answer a call by flipping the phone open only.

• A:Answer I would say no. The "easy" jitterbug flip2 requires multiple steps to make a call from the contact list. Another reason I wouldn't give it a higher rating.

• A:Answer Yes. so what happened I call the phone company to register/activate the phone as instruction, the person on the other line told me that it doesn’t work with T-mobile and require $29 to activate. I was about to return the phone, out of curiosity, i put in t-mobile sim card and it works just fine without any registration or activation with the company. so if you purchase, just simply put in the sim card and make a test call.

If the signal the phone is receiving is fair or poor, that could be why you are experiencing an echo or the call breaking up. The signal strength is shown on the status bar at the top of the outside or inside screens. Q: QuestionIs there an unlimited talk-only plan--without any texting option? My mom does not text. Also, is there a fee if the emergency button is pushed by accident, or will the police show up automatically if it's pushed by accident?

• A:Answer There is no talk only, but the monthly fee is very reasonable. My mom doesn't text either. But if grandkids want to text, that option is available. She pushed the emergency button by accident the second day of having the phone. The company was very understanding and there was no charge. I am the contact for emergencies and I was able to tell them to disregard the false alarm.
