- Answer Here's how to locate the battery compartment for K585 keyboard: - Look at the top of the keyboard: There's a silver or gray plastic strip that runs the entire width of the keyboard, above the function keys. This is actually a sliding cover. - Slide the strip: You need to slide this strip forward and away from the keys. Don't try to lift it up. It might require a bit of force the first time, but it will slide open, revealing the battery compartment. Inside, you'll find the batteries that power the keyboard. I hope this helps!

- Answer You can use the bluetooth and a USB device at the same time no problem. Or you can get a bluetooth mouse and have no dongles to deal with.
