Q: QuestionMost wireless computer mice show a tiny square piece that comes (usually displayed to the right) with the mouse. What is the name of this device? Can it be bought by itself? Will this piece work with any wireless mouse?

• A:Answer it is the mouse's receiver and they're paired to a specific frequency; if your mouse has a reset button for a receiver, it may be able to find a new receiver, but I've never seen the receivers sold by themselves. Think about it - if any mouse worked with any receiver, one mouse would be able to control all of the computer cursors within 15 or so feet in an office area.

• A:Answer The Logitech M310XL (and the M310) does not support Bluetooth connectivity. It uses a 2.4 GHz wireless connection through the included Plug-and-Play Nano receiver, so you need a USB port to connect the mouse to your computer. You do not need internet for the M310XL to work. The mouse simply connects to your computer wirelessly via the receiver, without requiring Wi-Fi or any other internet connection. Just plug the Nano receiver into your computer’s USB port, and it will work as long as your computer has a functioning USB port.

Q: QuestionIs the nano receiver that comes with this mouse of the "unifying" type, or of the regular type? eg can I pair Logitech keyboard K520 onto nano receiver that comes with this mouse? I know it's compatible with uni, I'm asking if the included nano is uni?

• A:Answer No, this does not come with a unifying receiver. It is the nano receiver, which is designed to pair with one device. The unifying receiver will have an orange asterisk on it that indicates it can pair with more than one device. The M325 comes with a unifying receiver, but it is a smaller mouse. This is NOT a bluetooth device, as another responder stated.
