QuestionI just had my new dryer delivered and there is no drum light. This was a warranty replacement for my previous dryer that had a light. The owners manual shows how to replace the interior light “on certain models”. Is there anyway to have a light installed

- Answer Hi Fujimato, for this specific model Maytag - 7.3 Cu. Ft. 12-Cycle High-Efficiency Electric Dryer with Steam, if the unit did not originally come with the interior light feature, unfortunately, there is no way to add that feature to the unit.

- Answer No the barrel on the washer does not have a light. It is however a bright shiny interior (looks like stainless steel) instead of a dark color and that makes it easy to spot the clothes remaining in the barrel.

QuestionWhat is the load capacity for this dryer? How many towels will it hold? Will it dry a king size comforter.

- Answer Our king sized comforter was the first thing we washed and dried. The dryer didn't fully dry the comforter. It could have been us and the settings we used. But, it did dry it enough so that we let it air dry over night and it was fine. I laid it out over the sofa. We haven't done towels yet. That's next.

- Answer Yes it is. We have our units stacked and works very well.. If you are short.. (under probably 5'4") then you might have a little problem reaching the dryer controls on top without a stool.

QuestionThe dryer is supposed to be connected to the cold water side via a Y connection. Is it okay to connect it to the hot water water side? We already have a Y connection on the cold water for aquarium water so need to put the dryer on the hot side.

- Answer I don't think so, but it's best to have Maytag or Best Buy answer this for you. I would think having the cold connection would be best for the steam feature.

- Answer If you look at the Maytag dryers on the Best Buy site, you will see one or two that two that physically match this dryer - I believe the only difference between the two will be the steam feature.

QuestionCan I get the size of the vent opening and its location (how far from the side and from the back) in the BOTTOM of the dryer for venting through the bottom? Thanks! I need it to have HVAC put the ducts in the right spot in a new construction.
