A:AnswerI have had five or six keyboards over the course of time. I type 85 words a minute, so my priority is that the keys can recover before I hit the next one. This keyboard does indeed meet those expectations and it is relatively quiet; but not SILENT. If that is what you seek, I am not sure which keyboard you need. It is Erg Dynamic and I had an earlier version of the Microsoft keyboard that was curved more than this one and I liked it better. But I cannot find that one. I tried to use the old one with a Keyboard to USB adaptor, but it didn't recognize WINDOWS 10 . [which I Hate !!! ]. So though they say things improve with technology, perhaps old school is better. Not a bad keyboard for the price and I am happy with it for the present.
A:AnswerFirst of all, there isn't a choice; what you see is what you get. I'd consider it "professional user". It adds multimedia functionality, as well as internet browsing tools such as forward, back, and a zoom function. I work in an IT help desk and love it. I've owned 2 of these exact keyboards over roughly 10 years. Great keyboard.
A:AnswerI have the same problem- the letters are rubbed off within 6 months. I’ve tried clear nail polish, acrylic sealer, but nothing makes them last longer. I definitely would like a resolution to this!
A:AnswerNo, this keyboard doesn't come with a CD or quick start guide. It is plug and play. Once you plug it in your computer will recognize it and it will operate. Any advanced instructions are on line
A:AnswerYes if you can type on a normal size keyboard you will be fine. That is basically all it is, it just has the ergonomic factor for better hand placement. I have bought several for the women in my office & some like you have smaller hands. They had no issues with the size, just the getting use to the ergonomic part.
A:AnswerI take it off for my own use (and I am a novelist so I am at my desk a LOT). I don't like the back slope and my hands/wrists seem to be fine without it.
A:AnswerI use both the Microsoft Elite Natural Keyboard and the Microsoft Natural Ergonomic 4000 Keyboard. Honestly, I feel no difference between the two save the fact your wrists rest on a padded area on the 4000. There is a row of keys at the top of the 4000 that are configurable that are not present on the Elite. I have used my Elite keyboard since 2001 and it is still going strong being used as my work keyboard. My 4000 keyboard has been in use at home since 2008. Both keyboards are very durable and indeed comparable from my perspective.
A:AnswerNumber keys and alphabetical keys work
with a Mac but not typical combos like
those used to cycle through open apps.
I’ve used mine with a laptop for over two years (replacing my desktop) and I couldn’t be happier.
A:AnswerMicrosoft's website can provide you those explanations.
