QuestionDoes this work with att dsl?

- Answer I don't think so, ATT dsl uses telephone or cat cables and this cable modem only has 3 connectors on the back, a coax connector, a power connector, and a RJ-45 jack for you to plug into a wireless router or pc.

QuestionCan I use two?I already have a similar one (has wifi) downstairs that covers most of the house. An upstairs office isn't covered great by the wifi but it has a coax jack. Could I use a second one there for a wired connection? Can two of these be on the same network?

- Answer Yes, this is on Cox's approved modem list. If you need to connect more than one device for internet access, then you should purchase a router as well or get a modem/router combination.

QuestionWill this modem limit capabilities of Airport Extreme?I want to get and Airport Extreme to put downstream of my modem, hoping to get the advantages of the 802.11ac Wi-Fi technology and dual band 2.4GHz and 5GHz frequencies. Does this modem limit the signal such that those features won't help me?

- Answer I have an older Airport Extreme hooked up to it for my WiFi. It works fine once you get it communicating. I initially hooked my computer directly to the modem, got it all up to date and working well, then added the Airport Extreme in. I had to set the Network to DHCP and NAT for an Xbox One. Other than that, it just took some time to get all the settings correct. I used internet discussion pages to do that. All-in-all, it should work fine.

- Answer yes. You can use it with any router, mac or windows pc's, but it does not include the router. It only has one connection in for cable and one out for internet (wired ethernet).

- Answer This is just a modem. It receives the internet from your cable provider and only has one hard line physical connection. If you want multiple / wireless connectivity you need to get a router, not a modem.

- Answer If you subscribe to VoIP service, such as Comcast's XFINITY Voice or Vonage, then a separate voice modem is required. If you use a traditional land line, then you would need to connect it to directly to the wall outlet.

- Answer If the blinking light is blue, it indicates a device, computer, or router is connected to Ethernet port and is operating in high-speed Gigabit Ethernet (1000Base-T) mode. So the speed of your router is faster than the one with amber blinking light. Your router is one of the top of the lines.
