- Answer Yes, this works with wow! internet. The MAC address ( found on the outside of the box ) needs to be given to wow! so that it can be activated and registered for use. If a service technician is coming to install service he/she can activate it on the spot by calling their support line at time of install.

- Answer No, the CM1000 does not have a phone jack. You would have to the get the CM500V or the CM1150V if you want to go with Netgear.

- Answer Your PC will be exposed to the public internet. You shouldn't do this, as you will be 100% reliant on the (not very good) Windows firewall. Buy a router to go with it.

- Answer I highly recommend this modem if you’re paying your service provider for speeds up to 1 GB. I’m working from home and my wife is doing distance learning for the kid with multiple devices connected. We haven’t had a single issue in a month’s time since purchase.
