QuestionI have a metal sided pole barn approximately 80 feet from my house. Will the metal siding create too much interference. My current orbi RBS20 doesn't have the signal strength to have a consistent connection in the barn

- Answer You might have an interferance with the metal barn itself, even though you should still have some signal, but you will need to have one in the barn so the signal will create a mesh.

- Answer I don’t know the distance your asking but yes you can connect Ethernet cord to the satellite. And when you say router, you would use the main unit and then you have 2 satellites

- Answer This set comes with one unit that will act as a router and replace the linksys that you are currently using. The other two units are referred to as satellites. Each of them rely on the router to work properly. They may be connected via a wired connection or they have a special frequency reserved to connect to each other that will help boost performance if you are not able to directly hardwire them

- Answer Yes, change the default wifi SSID to what your existing system uses, and the same password, and all of your devices should connect.

QuestionAre the signals from this system strong enough to go through walls? My garage and outside patio are on the other side of the house which the connectivity very weak. Most times connectivity is almost impossible.

- Answer That's where the satellites help. My house has a lot of corners and with just the router (on one end of the house like yours), I couldn't get the signal everywhere with just one satellite. I now have one satellite near my entertainment system, one centrally located in the dining room, and one on the patio. See attached ORBI map to see how they connect. Satellite 3 is on the patio.

- Answer Yes, each satellite works with a wired backhaul connection. This will allow each satellite to be connected to the primary router via ethernet cable.

- Answer Not sure who told you that. This is a standalone wireless mesh Wifi system. You need a modem or some form of internet access to plug into the WAN port.

- Answer This is so you can get a consistent coverage in your home. For instance I have a 4000 sq ft home. In order for us to get a good connection in the entire house I needed to purchase this so I can then place the 2 satellites in different parts of the house
