Last month we had to finally upgrade our modem to the DocSis 3.1, which means we also had to upgrade our ORBI router to the AX6000 as the one we had was not compatible. We also bought three AX6000 satellites (large home). We have not had a problem with the internet going out at all.
A:AnswerI have a third satellite under cover outside and it works great. I would suspect as long as it is protected directly from the elements of rain and snow you should be fine. I bring mine in during the winter months when we don’t spend much time outside.

As long as the router is a Wifi 6, it just depends on the size of the home. We have a large home so we have 1 router and 3 satellites.
