Q: QuestionWill this be a good fit for D 5500? Will I get the great bokeh and blurring effect?
Asked by Rogan.
- A:Answer The Nikon AF NIKKOR 50mm f/1.8D is a great lens for getting an attractive background blur and is compatible with the Nikon D5500; however, as that camera model doesn't have a built-in autofocus motor it will need to be manually focused. This compact and lightweight lens is perfect for travel, portraits and general photography and provides absolutely stunning images, even in low light.

Q: QuestionCan I use this on my D3400
Asked by Evan.
- A:Answer The AF NIKKOR 50mm f/1.8D Lens can be used on the D3400 but it will not autofocus and the camera's metering would not work with this lens. A better choice for the D3400 would be the AF-S NIKKOR 50mm f/1.4G Lens or the AF-S NIKKOR 50mm f/1.8G Lens, both of which are fully compatible with the D3400.

Q: QuestionWould this lens work with a Nikon D3200 and still have the same quality image?!
Asked by Theresa.
- A:Answer Yes, the Nikon AF NIKKOR 50mm f/1.8D will work with the Nikon D3200 DSLR to provide super sharp and vivid images at whatever quality and size you choose to use with the camera. The Nikon D3200 does not have a built-in focus motor so this lens will have to be manually adjusted. This lens has a fast aperture to help you create images with a beautiful bokeh background.

Q: Questionis a 50mm lens better than the 35mm for taking wide pictures, i.e. groups. If not what's the best recommendation for the DSLR D70. I have the 18-55mm.
Asked by bettygail.
- A:Answer 18-55 should work just fine for groups. It gives you more versatility. Even with a 35mm its frustrating in certain situation to still not be able to fit everyone in the photo.

Q: QuestionWill this autofocus with Nikon D3100?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer This lens is compatible with entry level nikon cameras also, but it will not autofocus with D3000, D3100, D5000 or D5100 which do not have inbuilt motor in camera body. Its best to go with the AF-S lenses. There alittle more in price, but worth it.
