Questionwhat is the height of the receiver ?specs list width and depth only but height is helpful for those of us that already own a rack of shelf unit.

- Answer The height on this unit is: 6 and 3/4 inches from bottom to the highest point which is in fact the very front of the unit.

- Answer Connecting your TV to the receiver will not mute the TV's speakers. You can either listen through the TV or turn the TV's volume down and listen through the receiver.

Questioncan this reciever be linked with my onkyo cd changer?I currently have an Onkyo7.1 ch reciever and surround system and also an Onkyo carousel CD player. I have them linked together so that I am able to use one remote for both components. I would like to continue to do so. Also,can I continue to use my existing speakers and sub woofer with this new reciever?

- Answer You should be able to continue to do so. Most product brands have the same/similar remote codes so you should be able to program it to work. I don't know since I don't have an Onkyo CD player and I also use a Harmony remote to combine all my electronics. Also, as long as your speakers and sub is rated to the output of the receiver you should be just fine as long as the speaker wire connectors are standard size.

Questionwireless connection to lab topi wonder how well it works when trying play from labtop, the wireless connection, if i want to listen to music playing from my labtop, will i have to go out and buy add'l stuff to get it to reconize the wireless connection?, any body know?

QuestionWill I be able to connect a cassette deck to the receiver so I can record from a turntable? How would I do this?

- Answer The only way I can see to record analog signal using this receiver is to connect the deck's recording input to the "Pre Out" port near the Zone 2 connector and the playback to something like the CD input. Any source might possibly be recorded this way, but I don't have an analog recorder to test this with. Check the manual to see if the Pre Out is volume controlled - you may have to break some windows in order to get a 'loud enough' signal for the tape deck. If the Pre Out is 'line level' you'll be better off. Note: recording through this receiver might not be legal. Call Onkyo and ask first..

- Answer 6in 13/16, but that does not include any space for air to circulate on the top.
