A:AnswerThe receiver has treble and base adjustments but if you use the included microphone it will automatically set the sound for you. The sound drivers in the unit decode the sound to the quality it was recorded at. You shouldn't have to adjust the sound but I don't see an equalizer being "added" unless you attach an audio device that has it built in.
A:AnswerIt is a universal remote but I have not tried using it to control the set top box (satellite) because the satellite remote controls all of my sound adjustments too. My experience with Onkyo is that the remote controls everything but don't be surprised when some functions just don't "compute". I still keep all of my remotes in a side drawer near the couch.
A:AnswerMost likely not.
1st: The two subwoofer speakers you mentioned are both 1000watts each and mainly for use in a car.
2nd: The impedance of the speakers are 4 ohms and fall outside the acceptable impedance of this system which is 6-16 ohms.
This system can only handle 155watts per channel or 775 total watts and only 6-16 ohm speakers.
A:AnswerI presently have the TX-NR525 AV Receiver and JUST FOUND OUT that this only upsclaes and only transmits up to 4k 30fps. You WILL NEED this. I am buying it now by the way since its so cheap.... I just bought my Samsung UN65MU6290FXZA yesterday and was wondering why my Xbox One S wasn't better than 36 bits of color and not above 4k 30hz....
A:AnswerBox it up, make a copy of your original receipt and put it in the box with a separate note of what is wrong with it. Send it to the following address. They will have it delivered back to you at factory settings within 2 weeks.

A:AnswerThere is no "A/B" option for front speakers on this receiver. They pack a lot into this unit, but it's a fairly low-end receiver. Enough for me, however.
A:AnswerUmmm... first of all, this receiver has dual subwoofer outlets - that's why it's designated 5.2. I have an old Kliptsch sub that I love with the same connections as yours. Get a splitter for the coax and use the low level inputs. Otherwise you'll have miles of speaker wire all over the place.
A:AnswerAnswered my own question. The onkyo website has better instructions for downloading than the user manual does. You can not play an iPhone or iPod through the front USB port.I was disappointed in learning this and may cause me to return the unit. As far as the reason to play my phone via usb is because it keeps it charged while in use.
A:AnswerYes, it has standard spring terminals that will accept bare wire connections for front, center, and surround channels. Sub is an RCA connector.
