- Answer The Prestige is considered a countertop model but the booklet says there are "trim kits" available, which tells me you could install it in a cabinet. The booklet doesn't say there are vent kits, though. I didn't mention in my review and regret it, that it vents very strongly - we feel the breeze!

- Answer Hello there! The microwave can be placed on the countertop or it can be built-into a cabinet opening using a trim kit. If you wish to place the microwave in a cabinet opening without a trim kit make sure to allow 3 inches (7.6 cm) of space on both sides of the oven and 2 inches (5 cm) of space on top of the oven for proper ventilation. - S

QuestionDoes the sensor cooking work well even if you use a cover on your food to keep spatters down?

- Answer The food vessel cannot be completely sealed off as the water vapor from heating is what activates the sensor in the microwave. I advise a loose cover (wax paper or parchment paper) so there is a way for steam to escape to trigger the microwave sensors.
