Is the lifter and other EHS cables absolutely required for the CS510 for use with the Cisco IP Phone 7942? Can the CS510 headset still function without them?   (2 Answers)

        Answer

A handset lifter or EHS cable is not required to use your headset, however without these accessories you will not be able to answer or end calls from your headset and you will need to manage them from the phone itself. The unit has a mute button on the headset but it is a hard wired base with a spread spectrum radio headset. It does not use wifi or Bluetooth

I was looking at a few of the others, and some of them have the amount of talk time on them and some don't. One of the other models I was interested in had a 13 hour battery life. How long does this one last? I couldn't find it anywhere   (2 Answers)

The documentation says: Talk Time With a single full charge, the CS510/CS520 will provide up to 13 hours of talk time. Talk time will be reduced when operating in wideband mode or if the headset is used consistently at a far distance from the base. The wide band is only needed if you are in a place that is using several of these headsets. Otherwise you can save the battery power buy leaving it off of wide band.
