QuestionI just got a TCL smart tv with 1080 hd with Roku. Will this work? It’s a bedroom tv why I need headphones Plus no microphone with the remote that came with tv. Plus I would love to dump cable box. We actually just bought TV from Best Buy for Xmas. Thanks

- Answer Unfortunately you have to subscribe to the spectrum channel to get access to the channels in the spectrum app. So basically you will have the same channels using the app that you have with your cable service. I have comcast/xfinity and that is how it works and I believe it is the same with all cable apps. I guess they have the app so you would not have to have a box for the tv and could use the app instead of a box. And you can use the app on other devices (phone/tablet/laptop, etc).

- Answer It’s from the program being played through the Roku stick. Similar to music using your headphones rather than room speakers.

- Answer I have the Roku and not the Hulu? stick. My Roku has the choice of downloading the Apple app. It does cost extra for that app and I did not download it.

QuestionI plan to use with older Samsung flatscreen lcd TV. My tv as 2 hdmi so I’m good there, but instead USB port it has what is called a service port. I plugged in a usb cable to see if it fits and it does. Will this service port work the same as usb?

- Answer Hi, Brian! Roku devices plug in through the HDMI port on your TV. You won't be needing the USB port. The Streaming Stick plugs right into your HDMI port and the USB power cable that comes with it plugs into the Roku Stick and into the power adapter attached to your power outlet.

- Answer Hi, Iris! Yes, this will work with your Samsung TV, the Roku Streaming Stick + 4K connects through your HDMI port. Roku does have XFINITY. Yes, if you sign into the new Roku with the same email that is on your previous Roku device all your apps and an home screen preferences will be transferred to your new Roku!

QuestionWhat is the average battery life in the remote when using the headphones most of the time?

- Answer Good question. I found out the hard way that turning off your tv for the night and leaving the ear buds plugged into the remote will still be using battery. The batteries lasted two days!! I do not know how long they'll last when actually using them but I would think a long time if you remember to unplug them when not in use.

QuestionI bought a westinghouse Roku tv, and am using the Amazon firestick. I recently bought the Roku streaming stick + headphone HD 4K HDR edition but wondering if this is useful since Roku is installed on the TV? I like that it has the headphone option.

- Answer Just keep the extra Roku stick with your old remote. You now have a Roku streaming device with remote when you travel or for an older "not - smart" television.

QuestionWhen streaming and using these types of devices is there a channel menu like there is with Dish or Direct. Or do I have to channel serf all the time.

- Answer You have to surf. But most apps have a "favorite" so you can place channels there. And many of the apps have a channel menu, too. There just isn't one menu that covers all of the apps. Right now I have 288 apps downloaded that I can surf for programming. I've never actually done that. I have found my favorites to be the Pluto app; YouTube and a few more is where I'm watching 99% of my programming.
