A:Answerno. You need at least a 52" stand for the TV to set on. Most TVs have the legs on the end of TV but this TV is better the stands are 9" from the end of TV and they are very sturdy. If you have animals or small children you might want to buy a strap which attaches to the TV and stand toghether
