- Answer Yes it will fit the enclosure. There will be a performance drop going USB. This is why you don't see external ssd hard drives.

- Answer you install the program on your system that the drive comes with. You need to have a usb to sata cable to hook up the drive(sold separately) temporarily to system. Then you just select the original drive as source and the ssd as the target and it will image it over. You then shut off system and swap drives. Plan on a whole day to do this, depending on your file size it may take a while. It took 45 minutes for 20 gig on one system....8 hours on my other (300gig and usb 2.0) .

- Answer I just installed this drive in my HP DV9000 Notebook PC. You might need an adapter to convert from ATA to SATA but they are sold very cheap.

- Answer Yes they can but for a price about equal to the purchase price of the SSD. This Samsung SSD comes with migration software and if you follow the directions included you can save some money. Just buy a 2.5" drive enclosure for your old HD .

QuestionThe price changed after I put the item in my cart, why can't I get the price it was at when I selected the item? I called the local Best Buy to ask a question, my online session timed out and when I logged back on the price went up $50.

- Answer I know, The price varies for this item so you got to get it while its good. The bestbuy stores price match so when someone sees it cheaper online they automatically contact bestbuy.

- Answer It will fit and work just fine in your MBP. I suggest you do a complete backup with Time Machine, onto an external drive, and use that to restore your operating system and files on the new SSD. I did this recently and the whole process was done in less than 90 minutes. My MacBook runs super fast and flawlessly, boots up in 13 seconds to the login screen.

- Answer Yes, I have two in my desktop. You may need an adapter to hold the drive in place (just a piece of plastic or metal made to hold smaller hdds), but the power and sata connections are universal.
