- Answer Yes, but only with an adapter. MacBook’s use a proprietary SSD connector and in order to use this drive you will need to grab an adapter for it. I couldn’t find one on Best Buy but you can find one by Googling: NVMe MacBook adapter. Sintech makes a popular adapter.

- Answer I upgraded a Mac mini 2014 I had to the Samsung 850 EVO SATA III. Worked perfectly, no issues at all. Fairly easy upgrade too, get a kit from iFixit.

- Answer It will support 1 of these drives only. The actual spec says 1 2230/2280 m.2 drive. If this is for upgrade it should be fine.

- Answer From what I have read, it may depend in your current configuration, depends in what kind of processor and motherboard you have. You must look for your motherboard documentation. It should not give you a compatibility problem, but it may slow down your graphic card or disable some of you SATA ports because PCIe ports share bandwidth or something like that. But to be sure you have to look for your PC or motherboard documentation.

- Answer It should work if you have an open NvME slot but it may run hot. This is a pumped up version of the EVO 970 and it is slightly faster, but it also generates more heat that the standard 970. I couldn't use it in my Lenovo P50 due to the heat issue.

QuestionWhat connection device is used to clone this hard drive?

- Answer Depends on your system and the connectivity available to you. Ideally, you would use the Samsung Data Migration Software found on the Samsung website, connect both your current drive and this new drive to your system, and clone your drive. In my case, I have the Dell XPS 9570 laptop with only a single M.2 slot. In order to clone my current 970 EVO to this new 970 EVO Plus, I had to use an M.2 NVME to USB 3.1 adapter/enclosure from AliExpress (they can also be found on Amazon for like $30) to connect the new drive to my laptop via USB. However, this adapter is not compatible with the Samsung Data Migration Software (most of these adapters are not), so I used a free downloadable data cloning software called Macrium Reflect 7 to clone the drive. It was super easy and went off without a hitch, and I have not experienced a single issue to date.
