QuestionHow do i set the app to sound a loud alarm on my phone and also reveal the name of the person armed and disarmed the alarm. Without this function this alarm is useless because you would not know if the alarm was triggered unless you are looking at your ☎

- Answer You can turn your notifications on so that you hear your phone. I believe this would be the case with any system. I get a text, and a push notification directly from the app. Far from useless.

QuestionI can’t seem to find any info on the actual alarm. How loud is it and can it trigger the smoke or CO siren too?

- Answer I am not positive about the smoke or CO siren but I use an Arlo pro camera system with it and I am able to use the Arlo siren when the alarm is set off (by setting up an automation routine) so I am assuming you could. The actual hub siren is pretty loud though. Louder than my local ADT panel was.

QuestionHow sensitive is the motion sensor? For an example, will pets trigger the motion sensor? I currently have a self monitoring system and besides poor connection issues, I also ran into issues with my cats constantly triggering the motion sensor.

- Answer The motion sensor is pretty sensitive. I have only one and it can pick you up from pretty far away. Pets will trigger the motion sensor. I don't have any pets, however, if you position the sensor high enough it might not catch the cats you are concerned about. Also you don't have to use the motion sensor to arm the home. You can use only contact sensors so if a door is opened that is the only time ADT will be alerted. The motion sensor needs to be connected to the hub but not armed.

- Answer Doubt it. I didn't get any discount even thought I had a SmartThings V2 hub. I'd wait for it to go on sale again at Best Buy for the best price.

QuestionDoes the Verizon cellular connection only communicate with ADT? (example : if the power is off at my home will I be able to connect to the smart things hub through the app without the wifi on at my home)

- Answer I was able to confirm that the system only communicates to ADT using the cellular connection. If your home Wifi goes out you will not be able to communicate with the SmartThings hub using the SmartThings app. How do I know? First off the cellular service is not even active until you activate live monitoring with ADT. Also after activating my service I unplugged my wireless router and modem and I could not use the SmartThings app at all. It reported the hub as being offline.

- Answer I was 10' below the router, and 15' from the Ring Doorbell. So one floor from router, and no interior walls except front door. This Chime Pro couldn't extend the signal to the doorbell. I would not recommend.

- Answer They will work through Works With SmartThings platform, but the will NOT alert ADT professional monitoring. You can use the First Alert smoke detectors for self-monitoring through the SmartThings application.

- Answer No there are currently no glass break sensors. It is a great system and I hope they add glass break sensors in the future but I added an entry exit sensor to every door and window for now.

- Answer There is a SIM built in but you can't change it. They do not disclose what network it's on, I don't think.
