- Answer I recommend Seagate personally. This would work too. Remember though, all moving parts can stop working no matter the brand. I have just had much better luck with Seagate.

- Answer While I have not done it with this model.... I would. The spec says 500 GB 7200 rpm SATA, 1 TB and 2 TB will work. This drive is capable of faster transfer, but should work without issues.

- Answer Absolutely. The hard drive either comes with a bootable CD or you can download everything you need to make one. This CD includes a disk to disk copy utility that will copy the contents of your old drive into your larger new hard drive. You don't need an operating system (Windows) to do this because the CD boots into its own operating system. You may need to change the BIOS to specify the boot sequence that boots from the CD before the hard drive.

- Answer Based on the model number you provided,yes, this will work on your computer. As long as the connection is SATA, this hard drive will work on your system. If you have a larger hard drive, you might not be able to fit all of your data on this one (if you can have it recovered.)
