- Answer For a vacuum it is suprisingly quiet and smooth. It has some nice pull and vacuums really good. I use it down in my basement where the cats hang at night and it does a great job getting the cat hair and dander.

- Answer There are different settings that allow for the brushes to all spin or to adjust down to no spinning besides the small roller in the very front. It depends on your settings on the carpet type or bare floor.

QuestionDoes this vacuum work on washable area rugs? Many vacuums just suck them up with high suction, it needs to have a suction adjustment setting. Thank you

- Answer I do use this vacuum on several area rugs with very few snagging instances. However, because of the vacuum suction and lightness of area rugs, you should move the vacuum only forward. I find if you don't go back and forth it doesn't snag the throw rug. Also avoid the corners.

- Answer I don't know if it's claimed to be, Pete but it sure feels like it is, very much like a self propelled push lawn mower. Actually makes it difficult for me to put it in the stand up position to shut it off. The whole vacuum, to me (senior, with RA but not a total basket case) is awkward, heavy and hard to manage. We're returning it.

- Answer No it doesn't. And that was put in my review. It may not seem like a biggie,but I thought that LED on the end was one of the best features on my last Shark. It is a great vacuum though.
