A:Answer I don't know if it's claimed to be, Pete but it sure feels like it is, very much like a self propelled push lawn mower. Actually makes it difficult for me to put it in the stand up position to shut it off. The whole vacuum, to me (senior, with RA but not a total basket case) is awkward, heavy and hard to manage. We're returning it.
