- Answer Hi, Yes, the MAG6R speakers are the same speakers in the MAG5.1R system used for the three front channels. The two rear speakers in the MAG5.1R system are the MAG6R SUR speakers, and the "SUR" stands for surround. These are designed to be used as the rear speakers for the system. The difference between the two models are with the tweeters. The surround speakers have two tweeters that are designed to give you broader coverage for your surround channels. The three front speakers have a single tweeter and are designed for use as Front Left, Front Center, and Front Right. I hope you found this information helpful. - Answer Hi JAL, Thanks for your question. The MAG6R speakers are not designed to be used in areas that would expose them to excessive heat, cold, water, moisture, etc. Installing the speakers in a place that is open to outside elements could shorten the expected usable life of the speaker, so we do not recommend installing/exposing them to these environments. - Answer For a drop ceiling I would recommend a safety line to the actual ceiling just in case. Other than that the speaker is not so heavy that you would require a sheet metal bridge support between the t-bar. I have done that back in my commercial install days but those speakers are a little bigger and heavier.

- Answer It is "safe" in terms of safety issues. That said, due to the high humidity environment of most bathrooms I suggest and outdoor rated speaker to mitigate issues due to dampness. An outdoor rated speaker will almost certainly last longer than an indoor speaker in a high humidity environment. When making a choice that involves significant installation labor, (whether DIY or paid), plus the investment in the speakers themselves, I recommend installing a product that will likely have a longer lifespan in the environment rather than risking issues (performance or lifespan) of a non-humidity rated speaker.

The maximum number of speakers the amp can drive at one time would be 2 pair of the MAG6R in-ceiling speakers. I hope you found this information helpful.
