Q: QuestionWould add-on Atmos speakers be worth it if being used in a room with a 12ft high ceiling?

• A:Answer I have these speakers and a +10 feet sloping ceiling and the Atmos sound effect is certainly noticeable. These speakers are sitting on top of my kef R500 fronts. Try them I would say. I am happy I did as I also had my doubts.

Q: QuestionThe back of speakers have such tiny clips i can barely get the 14 gauge wire into them. This is a standard speaker wire , am I missing something?

Q: QuestionI have these sitting on top of my tower speakers which are 3’ height. They are next to my tv which are 12’ from where I sit. My ceiling is 9’ high. I’ve watched Netflix Lost In Space, Star Wars Rogue One and so far I can’t tell if it’s working. Any ideas?

Q: QuestionI assume placing these speakers on top of floor tower speakers in a room with a flat "popcorn" acoustic ceiling will not provide the Dolby Atmos effect because of sound absorption in the ceiling. Hopefully I will get the same effect mounted to the wall.

Q: QuestionWhy would I wire these to the surround on my receiver and then place them on top of the front speakers? Then there are no rear speakers. Can I use these IN ADDITION to rear surround speakers?

• A:Answer These are Dolby Atmos speakers intended to add a 3D sound experience in addition to your existing 2D surround sound field. They are meant to be hooked up to the Atmos or Heght connectors on the back of your receiver. They are placed strategically in several locations such as on top of your L/R front speakers, on the ceiling, or on your walls; this is dependent on your the room configuration. If you don't have Height or Atmos connectors on your receiver, then you likley dont have Atmos capability. You can, however use these as surround speakers, (I wouldn't because of their shape) hook them up to the surround connectors, and place them in your normal locations. Keep in mind there are a limited amount of movies that have Atmos encoding, but the inventory is growing.

• A:Answer These speakers can be added to any set up with any brand or model of other speakers. However they are designed to be used in a Dolby Atmos setup. They fire the sound to the ceiling. If your receiver does not do Dolby Atmos you won’t get the effect.
