QuestionI am looking for a tv for viewing over the air digital broadcasts. I want wondering what kind of tuner and how well it works does this tv have for over the air antenna reception?

- Answer This works well for over the air digital broadcast. You will especially like the guide feature on the remote that shows what is on and presently saved in your favorite channel list. I have saved about 25 channels from the Milwaukee area after I unfavorited the shopping, religious and Spanish speaking (sorry my Hispanic friends, no commprende). Much easier to find something I might want to watch and if not, something I recorded on my over the air DVD/DVR (which to me is worth as much as the TV is).

QuestionDoes either the 43 in or 49 inch come with amazon loaded or are all apps loaded. Also we have dish network do we need a high speed cable?

- Answer I have the 49" and it comes with all the standard apps - Amazon, Netflix, Hulu, etc. Dish or Satellite work fine for tv programming. To stream, an internet connection with a minimum of 6 MBPS is recommended, although you can stream at a lower resolution with a slower internet connection. If you have 25 MBPS you can take advantage of Ultra HD streaming where available.

QuestionI found a "Network Browser" app buried. I installed it and tried to open it to no avail. It's made by a company called Ape Apps, which asks you to sign in. Well, I signed in but all I just get a blank page. How do I get the browser to work?

QuestionI just purchased a new XBR49X800E Android TV. I'm disappoint as I see there is no internet browser app on it. How do I download one? Also, the apps I can access on Google Store are limited. Can I download other apps like TVO or NHL? If so how?

- Answer It is there, but you have to dig a long way down layers of menus to get to it, and some of the steps are not intuitive, or access semi-hidden menus. 1) Press the 'Home' key 2) scroll down to the row of icons labeled 'Apps' 3) Click on 'Google Play Store' 4) Scroll down as far as possible to a line of icons labeled 'Apps' 5) Scroll right to 'Tolls & Utilities: there is an app called "Network Browser" - note that I haven't installed or used it, so I cannot vouch for it. For all I know, there may be other browser apps hidden in other obscure corners. Buena suerte. Jim

QuestionWhat is difference in features of the Sony 700D and 800E?

- Answer The 700 is direct LED lit. The 800 is edge lit. 800 has Triluminos, 700 does not. 800 uses significantly less juice. 130 watts on the 800 and 171 on the 700. All of this was found on Sony’s website

- Answer Hi David, It uses an Android operating system which is designed to provide the latest applications for TVs. Many of the existing apps from the Google Play Store can be downloaded to the Android TV. There are several hundred apps already available with a consistent flow of new apps being released for the Android TV platform. The Google Play store opens the door to many apps you may already be using on your mobile devices.
