A:Answer Yes, there is a USB port to connect external hard drives to the TV. This TV can do anything - best TV I've ever purchased. Not only is the picture is remarkably amazing, but all of the functionality puts it in a league of it's own. PS - If you happen to have a game console like PS3 or PS4, you can also hook-up a USB hard drive to the console and play movies. Just an alternate suggestion - game consoles do way more than just play games nowadays. I use mine for watching Blu-ray dvds, movie apps, music, music apps, games, streaming video/movies, etc. PSS - Get the Sony sound bar with the TV. You'll be glad you did - setup is a breeze with this TV, and oh my is the sound amazing! Even better, since it's Bluetooth enabled, you can link your phone/tablet and play music from anywhere in your house. This TV plus the sound bar = best purchase I've made in a long time.
