- Answer Hi Peto, No. This Blu-ray player is not a multi-regio player. You can only play region 1 DVDs and region A Blu-ray discs to this unit. Regards, Vincent

QuestionI bought a Sony blue ray last December 2018 and I don't really have time to use it. So I just noticed that I can't add an app to my blue ray, because this blue ray doesn't have a plus sign to add apps, I already update software and still no a plus sign.

- Answer I'm not sure what Sony DVD version you have, but go to Sony's website & look up the device on their website & it will go into more detail what your DVD can & can't do. Most of the newer DVD players have a USB input which will allow a persons personal data, picts, music, films, etc a way for that media to be seen with the DVD / Media player device.

Questionthe sony bdp-s6700 is not streaming with the yamaha tsr-7850. some blurays will play others don't. doesn't play dvd's at all. the sony bdp-s6700 unit worked perfectly with my sony strdn840.

- Answer I would say that the two Sony devices were built with backward compatibility in mind, so whatever was asked the two together would usually work. Adding another Companies device to bring data/media to be seen on your TV might have hiccups at times due to they ways certain DVD's were formatted etc.

- Answer I believe the "Ultra" in the name now just means that the option of HDR or High Dynamic Range is possible if all the devices are properly set up. Just know that Blu-ray Discs are different format than DVD's in the format of say just UHD. The higher priced DVD players would most likely be able to play the most kinds of DVD formats

- Answer You probably are aware that their are two industry used wireless technologies... Bluetooth is for electronic devices to exchange information within a very close range, like a computer can send all his songs to play wirelessly to a nearby bluetooth enabled speaker. Then there is the wireless technology called Wireless Fidelity or WiFi. It is what allows devices to connect via broadband spectrum where Cellphone & Laptops can transfer large files to other wireless devices at a decent speed. WiFi is created by cell towers built up all over the USA. Bluetooth is generated by a device close by, like cellphone, or a laptop that needs to airdrop a file to a friends close by computer. Blu-Ray is a technology in the DVD creating of, industry. It allows a DVD to hold more amount of data (gigs) on one disk than anytime prior to when it was launched. It went from 4.9 gigs to around 23-25 gigs of data a disc. Adding new menus to the disc & behind the scenes areas could now be stored in a Film's release. Ultra Wide & HDR technologies are the latest tech releases as 3D tech has seemed to go back down as it didn't catch on, but it could reappear at some point.

- Answer I'm pretty sure it is not universal, so which ever format region DVD is played in the device three out of the 5 times playing DVD's it will usually make that zone its official one. I know there are some other mitigating factors & ways to reverse regions set in motion but that is about all I am aware of regarding that particular issue.
