QuestionJust purchased the Sony KDL 48W600B TV & a HDMI cable. Problem is my comcast cable box does not have a HDMI port. So how do I hookup my new TV.

- Answer Your Cable box probably has the 3 RCA jacks as an output. Just tie this into the 3 Composite video in jacks on the back of the TV using a cable (red,white, yellow) rca jacks and configure the TVs video in setup to show composite input. You may also call your cable company to replace your cable box with one that has HDMI output. Taking the HDMI choice with a new cable box will give you a better picture.

QuestionDirect to Power or AC/DC brick between?Does this tv plug directly into the outlet or does it have a ac/dc converter (ie a brick) between the tv and the outlet.

- Answer The Inputs and Outputs are both the same holes. Meaning they both work as inputs and outputs. Hope that was helpful.

Questiondoes tv automatically turn off if left on for a long time?My tv just turned off and won't turn on. Its less than 2 months old. Turned off while no one was near it or the remote. any setting or reset? Any quick fix or tests?

- Answer There is a setting to automatically turn off after a certain amount of time for folks who watch TV in bed. Unplug TV for a few minutes, and then plug into a wall outlet rather than a surge protector to test. Check surge protector if you had it plugged into one. If TV turns on using the wall outlet, then check if setting to automatically turn off got set by mistake, or surge protector got tripped. Otherwise, if none of these suggetions work, check the SONY BRAVIA on-line help for other suggestions.

QuestionDo I need a Blu-Ray Player with wireless or streaming options if I have a Smart TV or do I just need the internet if I am not watching Blu-Ray Discs.

In regards to your concerns, if you'd like to buy a wireless TV capable you will not need to buy a Blu-ray disc player for connectivity to the internet. - Answer 23" wide, the TV is about 44" wide. You want it sitting on something sturdy and big enough that the TV won't be tipped over.

Questionclarification of answer to last question regarding audio output from tvthe answer correctly said there was no RCA audio output. it said I could use digital optical "and" hdmi. Did it mean to say digital optical "or" hdmi to run sound from the tv through the receiver? In other words, either type of cord would work?

- Answer Hi, HDMI and Optical are different types of connection but they both support digital signal. HDMI can support both video and audio signal but the Optical supports audio signal only. To run audio from a TV to the receiver kindly use Digital Optical connection or if both device supports ARC, you can use HDMI connection. Thanks. >Joffrey

- Answer Hi Mike, We do not recommend putting the TV on direct illumination or sunlight. There is also an option under picture setting that you can enable to reduce the glare such as in scenes that the entire screen is white. QuestionHow many antenna inputs?I currently have local stations HD via antenna. I also have regular Direct TV (not HD) which also uses an antenna cable. Can I run both. I do not want to pay to upgrade Direct TV to HD. I am considering dropping direct TV and simply streaming but in the interim would like to use both. Is that possible.

- Answer It only has 1 Coax(sp?)/antenna input. I've been doing without any kind of cable/satellite service for a very long time. In addition to over the air free HD/etc. antenna sourced TV, I stream what i want via HDMI cable connected directly to my desktop. VERY happy with the results. I use a long range mouse and have total control, at a very reasonable price(free)! BUT, if you want both Antenna and Direct TV, use a signal splitter with a small preamp.

- Answer I own 4 HDTVs. This one is by far my favorite despite it being one of the smallest. Why? Simple features and the best picture and color by far. It is amazing. The only thing that keeps this TV from being perfect is no input for a standard computer monitor. The TV does have 2 USB inputs and 3 HDMI inputs. If you can convert your monitor cable with an adaptor it might work though I have not had that need. The remote is awesome as well. It has built in buttons for Netflix and other things which is very useful. Smart, practical design.
