A:Answer Hi NLDS, thanks for your feedback. We're truly sorry to hear that your hearing aids are causing a scratching noise when you wear them.
For those with long or thick hair, the scratching noise often experienced with behind-the-ear (BTE) hearing aids due to hair brushing against exposed microphones is a common concern. In contrast, in-the-ear (ITE) hearing aids like the C10 and C20 generally offer an advantage for reducing this type of hair-related noise. Because their microphones are more discreetly tucked inside the ear canal, they are largely protected from hair contact, which can minimize or avoid the irritating scratching sounds common with BTE styles. If hair noise is a primary issue, C10 or C20 devices might be a more suitable option.
Thank you for being a valued Sony customer and for letting us know about this issue.
Regards,
Estefany
