QuestionDo I only need to purchase this sound bar or do I need to purchase additional equipment? I have a 83” Sony OLE LED TV

- Answer I have a 77 Sony oled and it sounds Loud and clear with the sound bar. I bought the sub woofer and it packed a punch with bass, and explosion, and Star Wars. Then I bought the rear speakers and it added those sounds that are in the background that really make you feel like you’re in the movie.

QuestionSony announced at CES 2022 this SoundBar will be upgraded with the 360° spatial sound mapping, same as the Sony HT-A9 has, along with new upfiring rear speakers.. This will be a dramatic improvement. When will BestBuy have it?

- Answer They have them available now. if it not in store (Magnolia section) they can order and even ship. The SA-RS5 rear speaker kit. 599.99. Got mine on 6/20/22. And yes, sounds great.

QuestionAfter soundbar is off for several hours, it requires a power cycle 3 or more times before e-ARC re-engages..i have the A7000 connected via e-ARC port to e-ARC on TV with 2.1 HDMI cable.

QuestionSound bar won’t fit in my entertainment center. Would it still sound good if I placed it on the top of the entertainment center?

- Answer You do not want to mount or set this soundbar with anything above it the up firing speakers need to bounce off the ceiling to work properly , If you want to mount this soundbar in your intertainment center it must have this clearance. Soundbar should be at ear level or closer for best results. A subwoofer and rear speakers make the ht A7000 much better.

- Answer It is typically too much interference from other RF devices Try: reset them both - un plug - reconnect - update to latest software - place closer to sound bar One or all of those should resolve your issue

- Answer It is automatically switching to music mode which will significantly increase the pitch/sound. Try adjusting the sound setting on sound bar to your preferred mode. Example: Movie, TV, Music, etc The sound bar has preset modes you can choose from

QuestionI have the Sony XBR-75X940D, which I purchased in 2016. I know this soundbar will work with this TV...but will it be capable of producing true Dolby Atmos, given that the TV is older? Or will there be some kind of loss or subtle decline in sound quality?

- Answer Hi SV, Thank you so much for your inquiry. The TV will work with the HTA7000. For the Dolby Atmos unfortunately, no. The speaker system is compatible with eARC (Enhanced Audio Return Channel). eARC is a new function standardized by HDMI2.1 and supports latest audio formats in addition to audio formats that are supported with existing ARC (Audio Return Channel). You can enjoy object audio content, such as Dolby Atmos - Dolby TrueHD and DTS:X or multi-channel LPCM content that cannot be transmitted with ARC by connecting the speaker system and TV compatible with eARC using an HDMI cable. QuestionMy Bravia only has arc not earc. If I use a 4k streaming device like Apple TV and plug it into the bar will I get uncompressed Dolby atmos?

- Answer Hi Chris, Thank you for choosing Sony. For this, we recommend having the Dolby Atmos capable Apple TV connected to the HTA7000 using HDMI. With this, the soundbar will output Dolby Atmos if the content and device is capable of Dolby Atmos. I hope this helps. Regards, Carl

QuestionIf the soundbar is 1.3 m long and on a new 55’ A80J Sony Bravia the distance between the stand legs in the soundbar configuation is only 1 mtr how would this soundbar fit between them? The legs protrude significantly in the soundbar configuration.

- Answer I would strongly recommend not blocking the be top of this soundbar or you won't properly hear the sound via Dolby Atmos with the up during speakers. I have mine on a table out in front of the TV. The more room you give the better. If blocked, you might go with a sound from Sony that stimulates Atmos without the up during speakers. I think their 8500 soundbar does this and costs a fraction of the cost. Or demo it and return if not satisfied.

QuestionI have a wired subwoofer that I refuse to give up. Are there ANY options to get a signal out for an external sub while using this soundbar? That will make or break my decision to purchase.

QuestionHow stable is the connection to the rear speakers and subwoofer? I currently have the HTST5000 soundbar and the constant popping / interference with the Sub deters me from using it, and makes me cautious about dropping more cash on Sony products
