To connect a turntable that only has a PHONO output jack, you need to connect a phono equalizer (not supplied) between the turntable and this receiver. Hope this helps! -Sam

- Answer Hi CJ, Thanks for your inquiry. Unfortunately, there is no option to only get the sound on your outside speakers. I would suggest checking out the STRDH190. This unit can easily switch between A or B or use them all together at the same time. Hope this helps! -Sam

QuestionI am doing a projector setup, but I don't have surround sound. I am using a JBL Bar 2.1. I need to run an HDMI to the projector, and I also need to run audio to the soundbar. Am I able to accomplish this? I see the Optical Audio Output labeled in.

- Answer Hi Connor, Thanks for your inquiry. Unfortunately, this receiver only has an optical input port. You will need an optical output port to connect your soundbar and produce sound. We recommend connecting speakers to the speaker ports of the receiver to get sound. Hope this helps! -Sam

QuestionJust purchased this and hooked it up today, replaced a 2 year old onkyo that sounded great but died. This one sounds terrible. Its hooked up exactly the same way, sounds one dimensional, no matter the sound mode. Any ideas?

QuestionHello. If I purchase a Sony receiver listed as "open box", is the warranty of parts 2 years/labor 2 years still in effect? Online it does not list if the "open box" item is excellent, fair, etc. How do I find this out as well.

QuestionHi All. I have a Sony XBR55X950H TV, I have all my devices plugged into the HDMI inputs on the tv. If I connect an HDMI cable from the HDMI/ARC on this receiver to the HDMI/eARC on the tv, would I hear the other devices when I switch to them? Thank you.

- Answer If you wire both speakers in series and connect them to one channel, yes. Or obtain two 8 ohm wire wound resistors and connect them in series with each speaker; then you could use both speakers.
