- Answer I does not come with service. When you activate it you will have a choice of services -- mobile, standard, and priority. Mobile is always available but it's the lowest priority so speeds can be really low at night. You may have troubles streaming videos. Availability of standard and priority services depends on capacity availability in your area.

- Answer Like any other electronics device, you would need to have it on a UPS, or be running a generator. It, by itself, still needs external power to operate.

- Answer When setting up your account chose the roam plan for 150 a month and you can take it anywhere you'd like and only have to have just the one account. If you plan on moving it very often I would suggest buying the travel case from Starlink to protect it once you've made an account.

- Answer The wireless router has a good range but it will depend on how many walls are between you and the wireless router. If you have a large house or just want to use a better wireless router, you will need to buy another adapter from Starlink so you can connect an ethernet cable. It is called "Ethernet Adapter" and cost $25 on Starlinks website. We have a large house so I bought a Deco Mesh Router. With the adapter you can connect one Deco to the Starlink Wireless Router and spread additional Deco routers throughout your house and maintain high speeds. There is a setting you need to change within Starlink Router (via the app) called bypass mode. You turn that on when you connect your own router to it.

- Answer I would say Yes. My advice is to set up an account with Starlink before you buy it. It took me 4 weeks to connect with Starlink to set up my account. Best Buy was no help. I spent countless hours calling, emailing, searching the internet for help trying to get thru to Starlink.

- Answer Download Starlink app. It has a visual obstruction detector. Unlike DISH and DirecTV Starlink needs a very wide view of the sky. Trees are a big problem. If you want to use zoom, make phone calls and game you need to have virtually no obstructions. If you just want to browse Internet and stream videos a small amount of obstructions (5-15%) is ok. If you have 20+ % of obstructions you need to either raise the dish, cut the trees, or forget Starlink. Starlink dish heats itself and slowly melts ice and snow on its surface. Small amount of ice and snow on the surface is not a problem. Heavy rain and heavy wet snow in the air degrade signal and cause outages but they are not that long, 5-20 minutes.

QuestionI own and run small assisted living homes that have 10 residents and staff. We have 10 ring cameras as well as multiple computers running on WiFi. Does starlink have the capability to handle that amount of WiFi?

- Answer Yes and more. The wifi signal is strong from the router. We have 20 device's including 3 ring cameras connected to ours with no lag. The download speeds and over-all performance of the system is hundreds to thousands times better than CenturyLink that we where on. During the recent snow storms the system work without a flaw. We purchased another one for our son who lives in a rural area with little to no internet access and it's working great there as well.

- Answer Starlink does not offer email services. However, you do need an email address to install the equipment. You activate the Starlink system using an app you download to your mobile phone. It will prompt you for an email account and a phone number and credit card, which will be used to setup and bill your Starlink account and send notifications.

- Answer You can pick up starlink in a local Best Buy store or have it shipped to a mailing address, starlink does not ship directly to PO Boxes. I don’t know if best buy does or not, but during activation you will need to use a valid home physical address if you’re planning to use it there. You can buy the Ethernet cable for it from starlink or a 3rd party, Best Buy didn’t have one in stock or offer it when I was there. Standard/business/mobile are the three tiers, it is unlimited, but depending on your plan you could get throttled at times. I’ve been using it on a farm in rural America and have not had any connection issues other than having to keep it on heating mode since it’s usually- temperature here. Cheers
