  • QuestionHello what's the range for wireless cameras in brick house

    • Answer I don't recommend this or any WIFI camera system at all. Its not reliable whatsoever. And the range is very very bad. Even with my fiber internet connection and several access points in my small house video is still unreliable.

  • QuestionHow do I turn off the IR on these cameras so I can eliminate the window glare? I see how in the owner's manual, but not on my app. Please advise.

    • Answer Hello KJ. Please note, The nature of PIR sensors is that they detect warm moving objects. Given that glass is quite a good insulator, it actively blocks this heat from the camera's PIR sensor, so the sensor cannot detect motion even though you can see movement happening. The IR lights on the front of the camera reflect back at the lens when behind glass and make it very difficult to see what is happening outside a window. Therefore we do not recommend placing the cameras behind a window or pane of glass.   • Questionif my home wifi signal goes out, will the cameras still work through the nvr's wifi signal?

    • Answer Hello Cany, Thank you for reaching out to us with your question. No, the cameras included in this kit will use a 60 foot AC adapter. The cameras do not support a solar panel. The Wi-Fi range can be up to 100ft / 30m, Typical 50ft / 15m (depends on local conditions) but the Wi-Fi signal can be reduced by many things around the home. Take into consideration the number of walls the Wi-Fi signal must pass through and their construction. The more solid the building material or the more metal the signal must pass through the more impact it has on the Wi-Fi signal. Also, take note of electrical equipment and other appliances that may affect the Wi-Fi signal. Some experimentation with locations may be required to get the optimal signal, check the signal strength in the app to give you a guide on the most suitable placement options.
