QuestionWhy does the sound setting always default back to TV mode everytime I turn it off? I want it in movie mode and to stay in movie mode. Is there anyway to make it keep the last setting that was used? This is super annoying.

- Answer I have the same question. It’s a shame because it sounds so much better in movie mode but if someone else turns on the TV, and it defaults back to TV they think the volume isn’t working. The rest of the soundbar is great but it’s a fatal flaw. I hope they can correct it via an update.

QuestionMy sub has developed a weird almost rattle sound. Every thing seems to be held in place. It's almost like a popping sound. Any suggestions? I've disconnected it and repaired. Also I can't get access to WiFi to see if there is a software update.

- Answer you have to download the atmos app for the xbox and install it and set it up on the xbox. then if you have the soundbar that supports it then it will work.

- Answer Likely means in bricked. Seems like this is more common than lead to believe with the Alto 9+. Did you ever get resolution on this?

QuestionWhat drill size do I use for the wall anchors

- Answer You would need something like a 27/64 drill bit. However, best practice would be to match the anchor up with the drill bit. Select the drill bit that is one size bigger than the drill bit that fits inside the anchor hole. This will ensure the pilot hole is not too big, but also not too small. Hope this helps! QuestionThe soundbar will not connect to Wi-Fi. When I select the correct network, nothing happens and airplay cannot find the speaker. Could you please advise on appropriate steps?

- Answer I figured out how to get WiFi to work if you are still having issues. There is a question whether these units were meant to be sold or kept for displays but there is a way around it. On your box, there should be a QR code or you can use this URL: www.tcl.com/RAY-DANZ/wifi-setup. It gives you instructions on how to connect wirelessly. After doing this and seeing the green light, we waited I think about 3 hours and the unit showed a message on the bar that prompted us to update. I pressed play/ok on the remote that came with the soundbar and then it read UPG 1 and went to 100. Then it installed the update and flashed Hello for a while then after it appeared to be on, I opened the Google Home app and it prompted at the top to finally connect to the Alto 9+. If you are using a dual band router, make sure you are connected to the same band on your device as the one you selected when setting up the bar earlier. I hope this helps.!

QuestionI understand the TS9030 has a center channel for bringing out dialog. How do I control the volume/balance of that center channel? I watched a movie last weekend where the background music and effects completely overpowered the dialog.

- Answer While I haven't personally done so, my kids regularly pair their phones with the system to play music from time to time. The unit has great sound that fills a large family room and into other parts of the house. Granted their choice of music is questionable, but sound quality is great [/shakes cane][/yells at clouds].

- Answer You can't, you have to connect it to your home WiFi. Otherwise it needs to stay unsecured so it can be set up. However, this does not mean people can gain access to your home network. Just that it is waiting to be setup. Hope this helps! Thank you, TCL Customer Support

- Answer Honestly I believe it does sense it supports hey google and chrome cast built in and ARC & CEC support and passthrough so in my opinion it’s very universal and all supports airplay too for those who are in the Apple HomeKit Eco System
