QuestionWill the TV operate without the Remote? If something happens to the remote, how hard is it to buy a replacement?

- Answer I purchased this model at Best Buy a week ago, and have yet to see any exterior operating controls. So, my assumption/answer would be, no, it can not be turned on or off or operated without the remote, or the cable or satellite receiver remote paired to the tv.

QuestionWhen you turn ON the TV, does it always come up on the FireTV screen or can you make sure it comes up on HDMI 1 from a cable box or HDMI 2 from a Roku? Does the FireTV part have the option to come up on the kids profile and not an adult profile?

QuestionThe TV powers itself off when inactive for several minutes, sometimes while paused on a video. This seems like a power saving feature, but I can't find a setting for it anywhere. How do I turn this feature off or at least increase the timeout period?

- Answer I did further research on this and found a setting for "screensaver", which I initially thought was like a screensaver on a computer. It was set apparently by default for 15 minutes. Changing this setting to "never" solved the problem.

Question? Headset for Sound ? -- My dad lives in a senior facility and isn't allowed to turn up the sound very high. What should I buy that works with this television so that he can get sound wirelessly with a headset adapter?

- Answer Confirm the TV supports bluetooth and you can buy any wireless bluetooth headset and pair it to the TV. The only caveat I can think of is that on my FireStick that I added to another TV recently it did not allow for volume control once paired to the bluetooth, which is a big pain and well documented out there. This being a FireTV it may have that same issue so just something to consider.

QuestionHow do you turn on (or off) closed-captions, especially when viewing a video on the USB drive? I don't see it anywhere in settings or options.

- Answer Go to Settings menu either by pressing home then scroll the menu to the right and Settings is the last item on the top menu. Or if using the voice button just say "switch to settings". Move the selection highlight down using the circle button ( it works like a game controller) then scroll to the right ( circle button to the right) to option "Accessibility" with the icon image of a person with their arms extended. Select it by pressing the center of the circle button. Menu changes and first option is Closed Caption.
