• A:Answer Are you turning the knob counter-clockwise or clockwise? Turning counter-clockwise gets you to the lowest/first element settings first. Maybe try turning on only one of the elements until you are used to it. Some of the burners have two or three elements. The elements also have different watts. Using the lowest might help you get a feel for it.

• A:Answer Also the conductor size is dictated by the amps- I recall this was 50 amps circuit- we had to have the previous wiring to the panel replaced with heavier gauge, plus the higher capacity breaker.

Q: Question1. I have a 46x21 old Jen Air. The cut of the stone is 45.5x20.3 . Is there any way (such as a trim) we can make this Viking cooktop fit? 2. It looks like there are 6 elements on the picture but one of them is for warming. Which one ?

• A:Answer We have the exact Jen Air, measurements are the exact same. We have a granite counter top so matching isn’t going to be a good solution. Did your unit fit in the hole cut for the Jen Air? If so, we’re there any gaps? Or were you able to fine flashing to cover any gaps?
