• A:Answer Yes. There are two components; the "main" one and the "extension". The main unit has a cord that you plug into either a wall phone jack or into your modem. The "extension" just needs to be plugged into an outlet for power.

• A:Answer Make sure the battery is installed in the base. Needs to be the correct size and plugged in. I had the same problem. Also, check that the jack is properly installed & wired. I had my cable provider check for dial tone and make necessary rewire adjustments.

• A:Answer Hi - Yes, you can turn off the ringer volume of the VTech CS5119-16. Here's the procedure to turn off the ringer volume on the handset. 1. Press MENU when the handset is not in use. 2. Press ▼ to choose Ringers and then press SELECT twice. 3. Press ▼ or ▲ to sample each ringer volume level. 4. Press SELECT to save. You will hear a confirmation tone. Hope this helps. Q: Question1. Went thru UTube, but cannot reset greeting. 2. Will check the calls received list and the phone never rang. Don't recall because we don't know made the call. So it is just delete. 3. People complain about not being able to leave a voicemail.

• A:Answer Setting up voicemail is pretty easy if you follow the instruction manual, but you have to have an access code from your phone carrier in order to retrieve your messages. If you have AT&T it should be *98. If you have another company or if that doesn't work, you have to contact your company to get the access number.
