Please know, the schedule of backup data does not depend on the hard drive. It depends on the software application. Although yes, you can take manual backups as well as automatic ones.     • QuestionWhat can I do to fix this ? I want to back up but I can’t because of this error. I thought this was compatible with Macs…

      • Answer Wish I could help you. I had to get cust svc to register it. They did so. Next, I had to get cust svc to install it because a 'buy this now' window popped up and blocked me from installing it. Cust svc is good, and competent. But now that I have it, cannot open it ever again and it does not even provide a logo or symbol to pini to task br or t put on desktop to access it. I may yet return mine because I cannot even tell if it is working, and I already am certain that if I ever need it, I will have to ask cust svc to access if for me. MOST USER-HOSTILE DEVICE I EVER ENCOUNTERED. IF I CLICK THE LOGO IT PUT ON MY DESKTOP, IT TRIES TO SELL ME '20 NEEDED DRIVERS' !!!

    • QuestionHow fast can it back up 100gb of data?

      • Answer Don't feel too bad. Had to get cust svc to register it, even tho my info was verified and they said it was correct. Then had to get cust svc to install it because each time I tried to install it, it opened a window telling me I 'need 20 drivers for my PC. A cheesy sales pitch while I am trying to install it !!!I could not even close the window, nor could I install it. Had to do contr alt delete to get away from it and reboot. After 3 attempts, got cust svc to walk me thru installation . Now I cannot even open it, although I can find it. Will not display, and the logo they provided for my desktop goes back to the window demanding I buy the '20 drivers ' my PC needs. If I don't find a video on you tube that will help me, I am going to return it and buy ANY other brand. Most USER HOSTILE device I ever saw, no exceptions.

      • Answer Hi, The WD Easystore portable is a plug 'n' play USB 3.0 ready and USB 2.0 compatible drive; comes with USB 3.0 Type-A​​​​​​​ Interface. You can use the drive as an external portable storage. But, this can't be used to extend the internal storage to install software for seamless operation. We recommend you to make the space in your laptop by moving some data from laptop to the drive. We suggest to follow the 3-2-1 backup strategy.

However, due to PS5 restrictions, games can only be played off the console’s internal SSD.
