A:AnswerYes, you can play music from Spotify on the receiver from your phone via Bluetooth. Yes, you will need to hard wire speakers to the receiver using speaker wire.
A:AnswerNo, this is a stereo reciever/amp and needs 4 or 2 speakers. If you get a gang box and another speaker indoors then you could set them up on “speakers A”. The outdoor speakers could be on “speakers B”. Then you could play speakers A or B or both. The speakers will need to be modern and not too large for this unit to push all 6
A:AnswerYes you can hook up 4 speakers to this receiver. You should be able then hook up tv to the receiver. I have same setup. However you may need an adapter to get tv sound output to the receiver. In my case, I bought a $15 adapter to use digital optical sound output from tv and convert to rca cables for input into the receiver. I also had to change the sound settings on the tv to switch from tv internal speakers to digital output. So depending on your tv and the outputs on it, you should be able to make it work but may need to adjust tv sound settings and invest in an adapter.
A:AnswerQuoting the user manual-
"The OUT jacks output audio signals of the currently selected input (except when LINE 3 is selected).
Volume level, tone control and balance settings do not affect the OUT jacks"
A:AnswerI don't believe so. You can simply turn on one, both or neither set of speakers. There is just one volume control that affects output to all speakers at once.
A:AnswerI never tried it to connect Sirius xm to Yamaha, but I think you can do it if you have its application on your phone. It's same as you play Spotify or any NPR station.
A:Answer6 OHM speakers will work fine and seem to be the norm these days. When you hook up your speakers in parallel the OHM's drop in half to 3 OHM. However that can vary based on speaker wire length and gauge. Yamaha recommends a min of 4 OHMS. Perhaps call or contact Yamaha and have one of their engineers get a answer for you.
A:AnswerNot sure what a 3.1 setup is
I can tell you I have it attached to 2 Yamaha studio monitors and 2bose bookshelf speakers . It doesn’t seem like I have enough power. Do you have suggestions?
