A:AnswerSure, with determination, spaces for some nice speakers and a healthy DC/AC inverter... why not! (You do realize this unit is a home theater AVR?)
A:AnswerBluetooth output supports only 1 device at a time. No, you can not control the Bluetooth Volume with this receiver. Bluetooth Volume would be controlled by your headphones or speakers, etc.
A:AnswerLarry, It would not normally be connected to another receiver. Perhaps if you tell us exactly what you wish to connect to the RX-V385, we can help. Tell us what you have in mind.
A:AnswerThe short answer is yes.
My husband (who is the user of this) says you should download the manual from Yamaha (it is free) before buying it, and read it to be sure it will do what you need it to do. There isn't a paper manual (not a complete one) in the package.
A:AnswerBooster, you can't use a mic that way on this unit. You would have to connect your mic to an audio mixer or preamp, then attach that to one of this units inputs.
A:AnswerI have the same receiver and never attempted a connection to Alexa. I can tell you that Alexa requires a receiver with WIFI capability and Chromecast.
The RX-V385BL does not support WIFI. You could get around this by attaching a WIFI capable input device. Several devices are available that will do
this job. I would chick with your local BestBuy store or on line for a WIFI device to add to your receiver. Not very expensive and easy to configure.
Allows streaming of music to any audio receiver.
A:AnswerFrom the manual; As long as it's FAT16 or FAT32 format. Supports WAV (PCM format only) MP3, WMA and MPEG4 (1-2 channel audio only). Sampling rate up to 48 kHz Quantization bit rate is 16 bit only. Will not work with Digital Rights Management (DRM) content. Will not work with an extension cord (device must be connected directly) Will not work with encrypted files. OPERATION OF ALL USB DEVICES CANNOT BE GUARANTEED.
A:AnswerThe only way to connect the TV to the receiver is with a cable...HDMI, Optical, RCA, etc. It cannot be done wirelessly unless you modified the devices.
Remember, Bluetooth is audio only. Bluetooth does not support video.
A:AnswerThe receiver expects five passive speakers and a powered sub. If that is what you have you are good. If the set came with extra processing units, amplifiers and decoders those will be of no use to you.
