Optimized for VHF and UHF frequencies, this RCA ANTB25 antenna works with most ATSC digital tuners and NTSC analog tuners when signals are present, including HDTV and standard definition, to offer a reliable backup for when storms block transmission.
Q: does this plug in the wall and into the back of the tv like a cable wire?
A: No plug in for the wall. Just hook cable to the back of the TV and scan for the channels in your area.
Q: Range. does anyone know how far from towers it can be.
A: 30 miles
Q: not receiving major free channels such as ABC,NBC,CBS
A: You may need to set your TV on "scan" after attaching the new antenna. If not, the TV may have recorded few (or no) channels when it previously scanned with a less-capable antenna (or with none at all) In which case it's not that the new anteanna doesn't receive, it's that your TV is not yet including ABC, NBC, CBS etc Good luck!
Q: What is the antennas rated range?
A: The Fox tower is around 60 miles from me. Comes in great
Q: Are those antennas good for analog tv?
A: There are no more analog channels They were ceased when NTSC transitioned to ATSC quite a few years ago. Only digital channels are sent out. If you are receiving analog channels and in a remote area then you can get a convertor box and receive the digital stations
A: If you have a cable port on your TV set you can install the antenna into it directly, power up the TV to do channel search in TV setup mode to sync the devices , and enjoy. Hope this helps.
Q: Will it work in a basement.
A: We did better with rabbit ears. I returned this product.
A: Installation is easy. Just make sure that you are not to far from the antenna tower. Because this particular model doesn't have the maximum range capacity.
