It is not sleeping, simply will not respond until u unplug and plug back in. Very annoying, very !!!!!

I finally got my new computer set up this week and I set up the monitor at the same time. I turned on the computer and the monitor yesterday. The computer turned on and it looked like the monitor did, too. I had hooked it up with an HDMI cable and nothing happened. I thought maybe it needs the VGA cable hooked up, too, so I added that. Nothing happened. So I undid the HDMI cable and nothing happened. I don’t know if the monitor is defective or if I hooked it up incorrectly. I have the maintenance program so I will bring it in to have the monitor checked. Hopefully it is just something I did or some step I missed.

It is actually taller then it says it was. Most likely because it's one size towards the front from the back. However this resulted in me having to spend $30 to purchase a different stand after the desk was designed around the listed measurements.
